Buying technologically superior shoes or shin pads may be okay, but children would really appreciate a more colorful shoe or designer T-shirts more. The thrill of running in a well-designed T-shirt is much more than just getting the best shoe or training. At that age, children do not like to be overdressed, and just the right proportion that fulfills game play rules must be followed.
Coaches need to pay more attention to what they are wearing. For example, a loosely-fitting shoe would not allow players to really control the ball. Kids would not be able to recognize the fact and would continue unless the coach asks them to get another tight-fitting pair.
Some Soccer Drills And Skills To Learn
Kids love to run. However, they may feel restricted running with a ball. The first drill should allow them to feel comfortable with the ball. Running around cones placed at short distances may help them. Dribbling skills, using the right techniques to kick the ball, and developing balance are other skills to be introduced at an early stage. Weights must be avoided at any cost. Diversions can be introduced in the form of volleyball, one-touch passing, and running races.
The U10 soccer group needs to constantly understand they can play the game. The feeling would come in only if they win a high percentage of games. Team exercises that bring about the winning habit would be very useful in the long run.
