U10 Soccer – Why Kids In This Group Love Playing Soccer

U10 soccer players are more enthusiastic that older players simply because they are being introduced to a disciplined form of the game for the first time. It is not uncommon to see them all running after the ball very early into training. However, after getting a few tips and completing a few coaching sessions, they are able to adapt to the structured format. Maturity has not yet reached them, and strategies are implemented by following exactly what the coach tells them.

They Must Develop A Liking For The Game

The initial few months of training is meant to develop a liking for the game. They love to chase the ball, but are they disciplined enough to understand how to follow instructions and yet retain a liking for the game? This is where a good coach comes in and cultivates a passion in them that lasts a lifetime. Drills have to be fun, tactics have to be simple, and U10 soccer kids should make a smooth transition into owning a professional kit without feeling the strain.

Add Some Frills To Their Kit Bag

Buying technologically superior shoes or shin pads may be okay, but children would really appreciate a more colorful shoe or designer T-shirts more. The thrill of running in a well-designed T-shirt is much more than just getting the best shoe or training. At that age, children do not like to be overdressed, and just the right proportion that fulfills game play rules must be followed.

Coaches need to pay more attention to what they are wearing. For example, a loosely-fitting shoe would not allow players to really control the ball. Kids would not be able to recognize the fact and would continue unless the coach asks them to get another tight-fitting pair.

Some Soccer Drills And Skills To Learn

Kids love to run. However, they may feel restricted running with a ball. The first drill should allow them to feel comfortable with the ball. Running around cones placed at short distances may help them. Dribbling skills, using the right techniques to kick the ball, and developing balance are other skills to be introduced at an early stage. Weights must be avoided at any cost. Diversions can be introduced in the form of volleyball, one-touch passing, and running races.

The U10 soccer group needs to constantly understand they can play the game. The feeling would come in only if they win a high percentage of games. Team exercises that bring about the winning habit would be very useful in the long run.
